In the Spring of 2020, Rachel will make her Town Hall Theatre debut as co-Music Director of Violet. In 1964 a young woman from a hilltop town in the Blue Ridge Mountains takes a 900-mile Greyhound bus journey – hoping a televangelist preacher in Tulsa will heal her facial scar, and transform her life. In the summer of 2020, Rachel will return to Berkeley Playhouse to direct Disney’s Newsies. Seize the day with this a jubilant story about fighting for what is right, based on the real-life Newsboys Strike of 1899. Jack Kelly, the charming leader of a group of young newsboys, rallies newsies from all over New York City to strike together in protest of rising distribution prices and unjust conditions.
